The Lewis Riley Band
Trio, Quartet, Quintet and Big Band
Lewis Riley is an extremely well known and accomplished
jazz musician. He has led bands of various sizes, from trios to
thirteen piece, as well as working in blues and folk bands, and
playing tabla in Indian Music ensembles.
The Lewis Riley Band has made two recordings of
original compositions, featuring Lewis playing piano, tabla and
keyboard, with varying lineups, including this wonderful variety
of instruments: keyboards, percussion, soprano, alto and tenor sax,
clarinet, piano, tabla, flute, didgeridoo, acoustic and electric
bass guitar, and drums. This group reflects their many influences,
from the mainstream of jazz to rock, folk and 'world' music.
