The Divertimento EnsembleFrom Chamber Orchestra to Trio The Divertimento Ensemble was formed in 2004 to perform major works of chamber music. This flexible-sized group of well-known professional musicians from the South West started by giving regular concerts in South Devon and has become increasingly popular with music societies across the region. Clarinet & Strings Flute & Strings Oboe & Strings Divertimento Ensemble with Lynn Carter Piano & Strings String Sextets Mixed Wind & Strings String Octet Chamber Orchestra Some of the distinguished musicians who play with Divertimento Ensemble include; Mary Eade – violin; Mary was a member of the English Chamber Orchestra and London Festival Orchestra before moving to Devon where she appears regularly as soloist, leader of orchestras, and in chamber ensembles. Judith Hall – flute; Judith began her career as Principal Flute with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and has since developed an international solo career. Colin Parr – clarinet; Colin was principal clarinet with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for 34 years. Martin Gatt – bassoon; Martin was principal bassoon of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra until 1998.
