Signs of Life

Signs of Life is a folk band that provides music for weddings, parties and festivals. They perform for their local community in Devon and further afield in Portugal, Spain, Ireland and France.

Signs of Life present spirited performances of varied music from around the world. Their delivery is energetic and fiery. Their presentation is engaging, drawing audiences into the spirit of the music. They can offer folk dancing, with a caller, with music from around Europe and the British Isles to suit weddings and celebrations.

Their huge musical repertoire includes Gypsy & Klezmer, French & Italian, Russian & Balkan, Scottish & Irish, Cajun, Blues & Bluegrass. They have appeared at many local festivals.

Signs of Life present heartwarming and exciting music for Dancing, Romance, and Celebration. They also present special themed evenings to suit corporate functions and promotions - e.g. a French Night or Irish Night.

Spinach for Norman

Spinach for Norman is a folk dance band consisting of four musicians playing, respectively, fiddle; fiddle/viola/melodeon; guitar/flute; bass guitar/mandolin/mandola.

They can provide a caller if required who will take you through the dances that go with the music.

From the musicians' diverse backgrounds the band has developed a repertoire of traditional dance music drawing on Celtic, English, Yiddish, European and American folk traditions - together with some more modern musical influences.

Rumpus

Country Dance/Ceilidh Band

Rumpus are a South Devon-based country dance band. They play traditional and contemporary music from the British Isles and beyond, on melodeon, fiddle (acoustic & electric), concertina and guitar. The band includes an experienced caller to teach the dances. Guest musicians are often available (electric or double bass, flute, bodhran). They use their own good quality PA system.

Luc Walpot

Solo Celtic harp

Luc Walpot is a top class musician who leaves no audience unmoved. His music creates a wonderful ambience which moves and inspires all who listen to it. Luc has been playing the harp since the age of nine. Having studied the concert harp in Holland he later moved to Ireland to specialise in playing the Celtic harp. His repertoire consists of Classical, Celtic and Popular music, but this can be adapted to the client's wishes.
