Jazz - Lush Life
Dinner Jazz duo, trio and quartet
Lush Life is perfect for background music during meals and for
drinks receptions but it can also play a more prominent roll if
required. This saxophone led group, which ranges in size from a
duo to a quintet, performs a sophisticated selection of jazz and
swing standards made famous by jazz greats such as Frank Sinatra,
Ella Fitzgerald and the Dave Brubeck Quartet. They play many songs
from the great song writers of the '30s to '50s such as Jimmy Van
Heusen, George and Ira Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart and Cole Porter.
With the larger groups, some well chosen songs outside jazz, played
in a jazz style, are also possible. The appropriate sized group
for your event depends on a number of factors including budget,
fullness of sound and the size of your venue. The group has been
together since 2001 playing top quality jazz to a wide variety of
audiences throughout the South West. They have played for select
parties of just 20 people up to groups of over 500 people, at venues
such as the English Riviera Centre, Powderham Castle and the Imperial
and Grand Hotels, Torquay. Lush Life also form the core of three
superb function bands, The Drat Pack, Lush Life with Noelle Rollings
and Solar. Lush Life regularly play through a meal or for drinks
and then join with the rest of a larger group to provide the evening
entertainment, providing a complete package of musical entertainment
for your event. Lush Life Duo are also accomplished classical musicians
who can play before and during the wedding ceremony. Lush life also
make up the core of the Neil Maya Quartet one of the regions leading
modern and contemporary jazz outfits.

Folk - Signs of life
Signs of Life is a folk band that provides music for weddings,
parties and festivals. They perform for their local community in
Devon and further afield in Portugal, Spain, Ireland and France.
Signs of Life present spirited performances of varied music from
around the world. Their delivery is energetic and fiery; their presentation
is engaging, drawing audiences into the spirit of the music. They
can offer dancing with a caller, featuring music from around Europe
and the British Isles to suit weddings and celebrations.
Their huge musical repertoire includes Gypsy & Klezmer, French
& Italian, Russian & Balkan, Scottish & Irish, Cajun,
Blues & Bluegrass.They have appeared at many local festivals.
Signs of Life present heartwarming and exciting music for Dancing,
Romance, and Celebration. They present special themed evenings to
suit corporate functions and promotions - eg a French Night or an
Irish Night.

Pop - Solar
The very best in Soul, Jazz and Funk.
A six-piece funk outfit playing 70s soul classics and modern rare
grooves.
Solar is about the hottest, most grooving, danceable and funky
band in the South West, bringing together six of the regions most
able, experienced and versatile musicians who have been together
for over five years.
With a repertoire that ranges from 60s & 70s soul classics
by James Brown, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson Five, to modern rare
grooves by Jamiroquai and Moloko as well as the Scissor Sisters,
this is a band dedicated to dancing. In addition,
this experienced band can provide chilled out grooves to relax your
revellers before working them up into a frenzy of hot funk. The
members of Solar are also experienced jazz musicians and can therefore
include many jazz or swing numbers in their set if desired. They
will, of course, tailor their performance to suit the occasion and
the profile of the guests.

Magician - Michael Shute
Michael has been a top professional performer since 1976. He has
a relaxed, polished and friendly style which will help to make your
wedding, party or corporate event a complete success.
CABARET- A speciality act, featuring a perfect blend of comedy,
magic and audience participation. Widely regarded as being something
different in the way of entertainment. 35 to 45 minutes of light-hearted
fun. Ideal for the more intimate type of audience.
CLOSE UP MAGIC - Ideal wedding reception entertainment. Unique,
novel, amazing and amusing. Takes place in the restaurant or dining
room, during the meal, or in the bar or reception room afterwards.
About 10 minutes is spent at each table, performing a variety of
tricks, right under the noses of the guests. Provides the personal
touch and creates a convivial atmosphere.
THE FABULOUS FUN SHOW for children - Perfect entertainment featuring
a wonderful blend of magic, comedy and audience participation, including
balloon animals and games. The show lasts about one hour.

Disco - Time Trax National Roadshow
For many years now we have booked Time Trax National Roadshow
(The Ultimate Mobile Discotheque), for all our discos. Keith Baker
is a professional DJ/Presenter with 20 years in the entertainment
business.
Time Trax is based in the South West and was established in 1990.
His CD & Minidisk collection ranges over 6 decades and currently
runs at about 13,750 tracks of every style of music available.
The show has an impressive overhead Light Show extending to 30-40ft
in width, but which can be scaled down to suit any venue.
With a very powerful JBL sound system Keith is available for all
corporate functions, weddings, parties, Military establishments,
summer seasons and clubs.
